So ready for some beach!
This will be the shortest list in Sweet Sunny Saturday series ever. Well, we are only at number 7, so it is the shortest of 7.
Simple reason is that I did not read as much in the last two weeks, because I was too busy doing other things. But that also means, you have less to read (woo hoo).
The quality however is the same – the best. So I am sure you will love it.
Inspiration
First on the list is Marcus aka Mufasa, with his post about 15 Inspired Bloggers Who are Changing the Blogosphere as We Know It. No, I am not listing him because he listed me!
I think that list is one of the best I’ve read since I started blogging and you should definitely check it out.
Not to mention the party going on in the comments!
Lessons to learn
Why are the “social media elite” ignoring us? is a post by Mark Schaefer over at {grow} and I think we can learn heaps from it.
The best part is that he is breaking the spell most bloggers are under. That if you get RTed by a big name your blog will take off, or what ever. Well, see if it happened to Mark… Maybe we should find success path elsewhere…
Learn about blogging from people who don’t blog about blogging
The other day, out of nowhere, I decided to reward one of my newsletter subscribers with 15 days of ad space on my blog. The winner was Alexis from Troublesome Tots. Since her blog has a different target audience, she thought it won’t be interesting enough for people to click the ad on my blog and go over there.
But she thought me a lesson here. You can always make things work for you and she created a special landing page for people that visit from my blog – Welcome Live Your Love Readers. I love it. Please, hop over there and see what she did
Don’t be an amateur
I ran into this blog after seeing the page I mention above. It was new to me and I am sure some of you haven’t seen before. But it is so good! Just to mention one awesome post – 9 overused blog habits that look amateurish.
Promote yourself
This is a great chance to become a part of a viral file
Go make a nice comment over at Ingrid’s Bring IT! What is Your Blog Posting Schedule? and you will become a part of history! The Mega Guide to Blog Posting Schedules is being made as I write so don’t miss it.
Organizational skills
Bojan from Increasing Workplace Productivity helped me organize myself. Not that I can ever really be organized, but his tips helped a lot! So plan your day perfectly in 7 simple steps and stop wasting all that time. (post removed since the blog has been taken down)
Wanna laugh?
Tristan made a really awesome video – Hitler finds out about blogging. You must see it! It is hilarious… Poor Hitler with no blog comments.
OK, 7 is my favorite number, this is the 7th Sweet Sunny Saturday so those are your 7 posts for this weekend
Hope you will have a great one.

Brankica, I really loved Mark’s post on why the social elites ignore us. It sums up a lot of misunderstandings some have about social media.
Mufasa rocks, he deserves the #1 slot for sure. Although I know you didn’t rank them in order to importance.
Thanks for the other reads, this will keep me busy this w/e. Although with the weather here these days, its getting harder and harder to spend time inside.
Hi Brankica
Another quality Saturday post. Thanks for sharing some great reads for us. Read a few and the ones I haven’t read will pop over and read now.
Have a great weekend. And the graphics real cute

What a pleasant way to start my Saturday Brankica!
Thank you so much for including me in your little list here of excellent articles. Without question, it was a fun week for me watching the mountain of comments that came in to the article and the fun that we all had with it.
I also very much agree with your ‘viral’ comment regarding Griddy’s blog. Such a prolific case study on post schedules is very, very cool. And a big ‘Good Luck’ to the both of you getting all that info together (I sure am glad Griddy has someone organized in her life that can help
)
Finally, I thought Tristan’s Hitler video was incredible. I was practically rolling around the floor. Awesome job T’.
Have a wonderful weekend Brankica.
Marcus
Marcus, even if I didn’t want to, I had to include you, actually there were more posts on your blog lately that needed to be listed, but I was hoping one will be enough to get people over there and then get them addicted to the Lion
Good summary, and this goes on my list (curating more of these great ‘in case you missed it’ posts). Loved that you picked Marian’s post, wish I had more time to visit her blog as well as many of these more often. Now to catch up on some other posts.
Marian’s blog is new to me, but I sure am gonna visit it more
I need to visit her blog and so many more often, if only there were time. Need to perfect a speed reading superpower.
I have viewed the video “Hitler finds out about blogging” on Tristan Blog. It’s very funny and interesting one. I really liked it.
It’s a great post and you have covered almost every type of post. I’m going to give some time to each of them.
As always, another great list of posts to read and people to connect with:)
Thank you both for the shout out (woot woot!) and the home page advice. You are a very generous blogger and I appreciate it
You are more than welcome and I hope that some of my ramblings in those e-mails will actually help, lol
Thank you for including me in your round-up Brankica. Always an honor. You’re doing a great job with your blog!
It is always an honor to have you comment here, Mark!
Cool more links worth reading and lessons to learn is a good one still I dont get much traffic from google as I dont have much posts in my niche and none of them are in compliance of seo like meta keywords and description as I am on blogspot and not on wordpress to use plugins like all in one seo to do so
The site to promote was a surprise.
The one about habits was good although my blog is one of those called Musings. If someone has an idea that is better, I’ll spend the money to have me domain changed.
Get ready for the shortest non-spammy comment in history

YOU ROCK!!!

I think this may be the shortest “Ingrid Abboud” comment in blog history, that’s for sure.
It’s a shorter list than what you normally share, but I actually welcome the shorter posts like this. I know you want to share the love of all the blogs you follow, but as a reader, it’s virtually impossible for me to read everything that you share. I get overwhelmed with the choices, I think.
The amount of links here is perfect though. CMD-click to get them into new tabs, and let the reading begin. I can usually cover them all within 30 minutes without a lot of trouble.
Great list of links again.
I know what you mean James, and I get lost in long round ups too. But as you said, I also do want to share those great posts so my round ups are usually longer. Well, I am glad this one is the perfect size
It was really a great pleasure reading your post Brankica. ‘Learn about blogging from people who don’t blog about blogging’ is inspiring and I got to find those people. ‘Don’t be an Amateur’ is very, very important. Its so true, when one is really good at something why try to go around with the tag amateur, why do things which may look amateurish? Brilliant post with all the right points.
Thanks for pointing me to these amazing posts…sweet sunny sunday is going to be sweet sunny Tuesday. Taking my laptop, heading to the coffee shop and going to get my read on- i’m calling it “taking a break”
Thanks for the link love <3 I do not forget
