Brankica: Hey, peeps…some of you know that I am taking a little vacation so I asked my dear friend Dino to write the Sweet Sunny Saturday post for me.
The main reason I did this is that I know he reads some blogs I haven’t heard of yet, and you know how I love to introduce new people to my readers. Dino did a wonderful job of choosing not only the best posts but some really cool blogs you might have missed before. Enjoy…
Thank you for choosing DIYBlogger.NET airlines. This is your Captain Dino speaking. If you look to your right, you will notice we are flying over beautiful waters and we expect nothing but the clear skies up ahead.
Please fasten your seat-belts and place your tray tables in their upright and locked position. These are the best damn posts I’ve found online in the last two weeks.
I hope you enjoy your in-flight entertainment.
I want to thank Kikolani and her Fetching Friday for providing the inspiration for the categories.
Let’s get it started.

Affiliate marketing is hot, and it’s the ultimate solution for marketers who are too darn lazy to put in the time, effort, and money to develop their own product. Google Takes Down Bing
I didn’t expect that Microsoft would deny the claims so strongly. Yusuf Mehdi’s post says “We do not copy results from any of our competitors. Period. Brankica: Dino was too modest to include his own posts in the list here, so he just included them in the DIYBlogger.NET links at the beginning and the end. But just in case you missed it, here are two wonderful posts of his I read in the last two weeks. I just loved them and I really hope you will read them too ![]()
Content is king my ass and 5 ways to improve your blog today. In the latter, you will also find a discount code for a great e-book that will help you build a better blog.

Dino, Brankica,
Another great Saturday roundup, Dino didn’t miss a beat taking over for you on this Saturday. (I hope you are enjoying your trip Brankica)
Anyhoo, I opened 6 tabs that looked really interesting (and I haven’t seen yet) and going to read them once I finish this comment. Good way to start my morning.
Thanks for including me on the list and having what appears to be some really kick-ass and interesting links
Hey Scott, glad you fund some of these useful
And thnx for creating awesome content
What a nice surprise to wake up to on a Saturday morning to find your trackback on my post. Sweet indeed. Having the sun out today instead of snow and sleet just tops it off.
Great list Dino. This will keep us busy browsing for awhile! I do admire folks like you and Brankica with the dedication and discipline to compile these lists. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it and thnx for awesome content which makes it easy to compile a list such as this
Hey Dino, thanks for featuring me! It’s indeed an honor to appear on Brankica’s blog for a Sweet Sunny Saturday spot.
MONSTER post, man. As usual, there’s a lot to dig into here. Sometimes I don’t know where to begin with these posts -you definitely captured the spirit of “kikolani” Kristi, those Fetching Fridays are so jampacked I’m still backlogged on all those links!
Sometimes people don’t recognize how much work goes into these posts. They think it’s “just” a link post.
Man, just as much, if not MORE work goes into these posts than a “regular” post because then you have to fist find the articles to link to, then vet all the links for quality, etc. Trust me, I know. I tried to pull a Kristi and I couldn’t keep up with it!
That Kenneth Cole Twitter crap is disgusting. I’m not into fashion anyway, but aren’t these guys supposed to have “taste”? Didn’t see it there.
Also, who knew I could learn anything from Angry Birds?
Anyway, thanks again for the link. See you…out there!
ahhh..so…how exactly do you “fist find the articles to link to” lol
In all seriousness, you’re right about this being heavy lifting compared to a regular post. However, if I were to do it again, I would keep track of great posts as I come across them and stash them away for easy retrieval come post time. #lessonlearned
My bad. I meant to say “fist *BUMP* the articles to link to”
Yaaaay I made the list, thanks Dino and Brankica.
See, now this is a awesome list – plenty of change up than the usual dribble that’s round up posts – for once, I actually see a couple posts that I want to read haha.
Good to see a variety of people on the list too instead of the “normals”
It was a bit of an internal struggle, you know…on one hand I wanted to include people I know and like like your fine self, on the other hand, everybody knows your crusty ass :-p and Brankica’s audience is pretty well familiar with the likes of Murlu
Anyways ….I hope I’ve stuck a balance
I don’t read blogs what a waste of time…
As you wrote this post and I suppose can’t mention yourself (past the signature block) I’ve seen some really cool commercial breakdowns over at DIYBlogger.net. Peeps should check those out.
Thnx Rob….the one you stole a peak at is coming out on monday…speaking of which, have you noticed any weirdness with twitterfeed?
I think twitter changed their API recently and our cross pollination scheme is not working….I think…Im confused lol
Just keep an eye out and let me know if you notice any weirdness (like there is no tweet when there should be one and what not)
Hey Dino and Brankica, thanks for including me in the Sweet Sunny Saturday blog post.
Some of these others look SO COOL and wow, these types of blog posts are great for me when it comes to discovering new blogs to read. THANKS
no no no…thank YOU for doing that affiliate piece …I think it should be mandatory reading for everyone
Hey! some fat sweaty guy just fell asleep on my shoulder! I want to sit in the emergency exit row please….and where are my peanuts? And this in flight movie sucks.
Dino, this post epitomizes why I love you. Your sense of humor is always in line with what I need and I love how you incorporate it into your writing. I also have checked out a few of these articles and I must say they are fantastic. Looking forward to reading more over this weekend…if this plane ever lands.
Cheers,
Lisa
Thnx for the love
and damn it, I was afraid this airplane analogy will come back to haunt me, I just didnt expect it to be in the form of a fat sweaty guy
Oh, boy. That is quite the list of literature for me to read through. Some of the authors are already some of my favourites, but most I haven’t heard of. Guess I know how I will be spending a good portion of my Sunday – reading.
Happy Sunday then
Hi Dino & Brankica
Glad you taking a well-earned break Brankica. Hope you are enjoying the hols.
Dino – what a great roundup and cos flying isn’t one of my favourite past-times I’m glad I have kept my feet firmly on the ground. Cos it means I can go check some of the posts out. Soooo many to choose from. Thanks.
Patricia Perth Australia
I hate flying too…once I was coming down with a cold and as the plane was rapidly changing altitude while landing, my sinuses were exploding with pain….never felt sharper pain in my life. Anyways…thats my horror airplane story…
Dino, I hadn’t even realized you had linked back to my site. Thanks for the shout-out! Some great material here. It’s a wonder none of us are perfect human beings yet. Ha ha.
I always wonder how that works…I know not everyone gets a ping back when someone links to them, but is it at least safe to assume that all WordPress blogs do get a ping back? Or maybe theres a setting in there somewhere where one can disable pingbacks….see? Now I have to go investigate
LoL, there is a setting and I think a bunch of blogs actually turn ping backs off
Well it certainly was a Sweet and Sunny Saturday
. Today was a bit less sunny, with more rain, but still sweet as hell – especially when I stopped by to see this fantastic roundup.
Nicely done Dino! And as always, your sense of humor is the bomb!
Do I need to tell you how thankful I am to you for including my “Bring IT! What’s Your Biggest Challenge as a Blogger?” post in here.
I don’t think I’ve read any of the ones in the Personal Development group, so YaY – I get to be lazy but productive this Sunday
.
Couple things though before we take off:
- I need to exit row to stretch my legs but a free upgrade to business would be even better
- Don’t even think of waking me up to feed me salty crackers and sh**
- I will be watching one movie after the next if I can’t sleep so there better be a good selection
- If the person next to me is sick, smelly, chatty or a crying baby – I will need to get off at the next stop please
Not so demanding eh? LOL
Hope you’re enjoying your vacay Brankica. We’ll be here when you get back!
Cheers
Whatever you do, dont open the window at 30 thousand feet….again :-p
Well Dino,
.
The co-captain said I could smoke if I cracked open the window a bit. So talk to him! Not my fault lol
Roma said you can’t smoke cause it will bother her. But she was so nice and said she will share a treat with you (she never does that with me).
Oh, and you do know smoking is not healthy, right
Hey Dino,
Man you wrecked this post!
Thanks for the weekly roundup! This is an awesome list and I really look forward to checking out some of these articles. It would be awesome someday if I write a super awesome enough post to reach a list like this. Dino great job on the intro and taking over. You did it without missing a beat so con grates on that.
Keep up the good work.
Thanks again!
God bless,
William Veasley
Thank you Mr. Great
