It is my birthday today
I was thinking about just letting it slip cause it is the 30th (I feel sooooo old, lol) but it would not be in the spirit of blogging. Seems everyone does something for their birthday so why not me.
I have seen some really cool ideas on posts on people’s birthdays and I had trouble deciding which one to choose. So I will stick with the basics.
It is all personal, nothing to do with blogging.
Note: a lot of you know some of these things, cause I am pretty open all the time, but I get new visitors all the time and for some, this list will be new!
I know politics, religion and similar topics should never be discussed publicly, but it is my birthday and I can do what ever I want
So if you are sensitive to those topics, don’t read.
Don’t forget to read all the way to the end of the posts, there is cake below!
#1 I have been married for two years now (our anniversary is tomorrow, one day after my B-day). His nickname is Jim. He is an amazing person with a big soul and has the most beautiful blue eyes ever. Most of my girlfriends simply say he is HOT!
#2 I am Serbian. More precisely – Bosnian Serb.
#3 I am a Christian. More precisely – Eastern Orthodox and I belong to Serbian Orthodox Church.
#4 When it comes to political views, most people would call me “politically incorrect“.
#5 Hardly anyone can pronounce my real name in USA. However, I have a nickname. Everyone calls me Pit. Comes from Pit Bull, don’t ask why…
I am not a big fan of the nickname everyone keeps giving me here (Bran) LOL
#6 I have lived on 3 continents: Europe, Africa and North America.
#7 I love number 7.
#8 I love tattoos and have 11 of them… for now. Some of them are: a Spartan helmet, my hubby’s initials with our marriage date, a sentence in Portuguese across my back, a sniper crosshair, a dolphin, my favorite motto (see number #20), etc.
#9 I love sport bikes or as Americans call them “crotch rockets”. I have totally crashed 2 and partially crashed 1. My favorite bike is Honda CBR 600RR (below).
I don’t have a licence to ride bikes

#10 I love to learn new languages. By being Serbian, I can speak Serbian, Croatian and Bosnian (very similar, almost same languages).
I can speak English and Italian (learned it in 38 days).
I understand Spanish and Bulgarian but don’t speak them.
I know basic (beginner) conversation in Arabic.
I have studied Russian for 8 years and can’t speak it but understand it.
I learned Latin and I can work with it (no speaking of course, since it is a dead language and not in use).
#11 The celebrity I am most often compared to – Demi Moore. Yes, because of the hair, the push-ups, etc. See movie “G.I. Jane”.
#12 Although I am pro-pet adoption and recommend people do it, I have a purebred American Staffordshire Terrier (American Pit Bull Terrier) from a champion litter.
Her parents and all of her grandparents and grand-grandparents are champions. She is 10 months old and she is a show dog.
Her show name is AKC/UKC Kayo’s Eternally Bella (video). Her pet name is Roma. Roma is Rome (the city) in Italian and yes, she was named after a city.
#13 I used to work in a special police unit. When I joined I was 23 and it was an all men unit. I used to train at least 5 hrs a day, 4 to 5 days a week, for months, to make sure to get in. Hence the #11 reference.

#14 While in the unit, I was deployed to Liberia in Africa to United Nations peace keeping mission. I worked as a training adviser for the only special police unit Liberia has. I stayed there for a year and never got malaria

First pic of me in uniform I ever put out publicly like this
#15 I am a certified SCUBA diver.
#16 I had an unexplained fear of heights and decided to lose it by – repelling off tall buildings and cliffs, the special forces way. No fear since.
#17 I am a shooting trainer. I graduated from Sports University so that also makes me a personal (fitness) trainer.
#18 Until I moved to USA, I used to compete in practical shooting. I won a medal in every competition I entered but one (we partied the night before).
#19 My favorite movie quote:
“The ebb and flow of the Atlantic tides, the drift of the continents, the very position of the sun along its ecliptic. These are just a few of the things I CONTROL in my world.”
#20 My motto (see #8).
“Aut viam inveniam aut faciam” by Hannibal (Carthaginian general). It means “I shall either find a way or make one.”
#21 Although I love guns and shooting so much, I hate shooting video games and can’t stand hunting.
#22 I have a scar on my stomach where I was shot with a ricochet of a 9mm bullet at a shooting competition.
#23 I love Jeff Dunham, the comedian, but only because I am totally and utterly in love with his companion Peanut.
Jim had to take me to Las Vegas just to see him
#24 If I could be one thing and it can’t be anything I was or am – I would love to be a photographer.
#25 I love to eat and I eat more than anyone I have ever sat at the table with. I don’t gain any of it and I believe it is thanks to the years and years of doing sports.
#26 I am a big meat eater. Can’t live without meat, especially something made with pork. Also love spicy food.
#27 I love sweets but I am the most picky person about them. You will only make me happy if you give me a Milka noisette chocolate, a jar of Nutella or one of the only 3 kinds of cakes I eat.
#28 My most favorite show of all times is “Sex and the City”. The movies too. I have seen each episode of all seasons at least 3 times by now. Some of them even 15 times.
#29 My favorite actor is Dwayne Johnson. Because of the way he looks. That reminds me, I also love Haka.
#30 I read a lot. I can read hundreds and hundreds of pages of printed books in a single day. I know how to speed read printed books.
My two favorite books are The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett and Gates of Fire by Steven Pressfield.
That is it, 30 things that might make me weird in your eyes, lol.
And now for the cake
The tradition is, who ever is celebrating the birthday gets presents. Well, not sure if you want to buy me a present so I want to make sure at least someone gets something.
First 3 people who send me an email with subject line “Happy birthday, here is your cake” can send a question in that email that I will work on.
Send one question, the biggest issue you are having with your blogging, internet business, social media, etc and I will work on resolving it in order to move your business forward. I am not talking about getting a two sentence reply from me.
One person (out of everyone that sends the e-mail), will also get a special gift from me, which will be a blog audit or a consultation (whatever he/she) chooses. I will choose a person that I can help the most in the shortest amount of time, to move their business forward.
That is 4 presents from me.
For the end of the party
I hope you had fun with this post, I feel good that I got some things off my chest, lol. I also hope you will like my little presents for you.
In case you decide you must buy me a real present, here is my wish list. They know me over there and they will ship the present to me, you won’t have to enter my address
I would love to hear from you… comments or anything you want to share with us here!

Happy B’Day Brankica and advanced marriage anniversary….
Enjoyyy and have a lotzzz of funnn………
Thanks, Vivek
Great, now I know why you dropped me; because I keep calling you Bran and even did so in my Bday wish on FB (but so did Falchetto). Ok Pit, I will call you whatever you like, I’ll just make sure not to call you late for dinner……
Interesting stuff, I knew some but certainly not all. No way I was going to roll the ‘list’ out on my birthday because you would probably still be reading even if you are a speed reader.
Happy, happy birthday to you; I hope you have a great day today.
Lol, Bill, you are not that old! I would love to read your list. If you don’t want to brag about your age, you can just make list of 10 or something
Hi Bran,
Happy 30th Birthday.
I am starting to call you Bran and don’t know you don’t even like it. Lol. I am not going to change as i love calling you Bran. I hope you don’t ban me
Don’t know you have such a talent for languages. So when are you coming to Asia?
I hope to visit soon, I think the first place on my Asian list is Thailand. Hopefully I will be able to visit more.
Hey Brankica (notice, I didn’t shorten it),
Just wanted to say Happy Birthday! I learned some interesting things about you — very cool. Very impressed with the number of languages you know — I’m hoping to add just one at some point.
The quote from Hannibal has always been one of my favorites too!
Have a great Bday!
Wishing you a very very Happy Birthday Brankica!
This is such a beautiful post, and connects us so much with the real person you are, something which is rarely otherwise seen! And these are great achievements for someone who is only 30!! That surely is not old, so enjoy your day to the fullest, and may God Bless You!
Have an awesome day, and once again- it was really nice knowing the real you
Thank you so much for that, Harleena, I love connecting with you. I love learning more about people whose blogs I read, sometimes blogs make us so impersonal.
What a great idea! That was really fun getting to know you better. It’s so nice of you to offer to give us presents on your birthday.
Glad you like it, Sherryl
Happy birthday, Brankica – nice to find out more about you. And happy anniversary for tomorrow.
Thanks so much, Sharon!
Happy Birthday, Brankica!
I learned a lot here. First, I don’t ever want to piss you off. Second, I too love meat, especially pork. WOOHOO.
and third, my 50th birthday is about 6 months away. Does this mean I have to come up with 50 things???
Yup, you better do
Ok, here is something involving pork (bacon) that you will love, you have to try it
Half a jalapeno pepper and clean the seeds out so it isn’t too hot, fill the halves with cream cheese, wrap bacon around it, keep it in place with a toothpick. Grill them. And then tell me how you like them, it is one of my favorite foods
Happy Birthday Pit.
I can’t believe you speak that many languages. Maybe you should start studying Danish next. I am sure that would be a challenge even for you
Happy anniversary tomorrow. You must be doing a lot of celebration these days
You know that one language I always wanted to speak was Danish (yes, it has everything to do with Peter Schmeichel), lol
Feliz cumpleaños Pit!
(LOL – noticed the change from “Bran” now?)
I remember you telling me about “Pit” but as I never saw anyone calling you that I thought it would be awkward but now it’s not, so Pit it is!
(On the other hand, I don’t really want to get in trouble with an ex special forces agent… so it is for my safety too! j/k)
Back to your birthday, not only I hope you have an amazing day today but tomorrow as well for your anniversary as I’m sure you’ll have a blast for sure.
Your post was pretty epic and even though I thought I knew a lot of stuff about you, I learned about 200% more things about you today so thanks for sharing!
I’m not that fond of getting into conversations on sports, religion, politics and other delicate topics but sometimes it just helps to know them, that way you can understand the person a lot more so it was a wise move and I thank you for it as well! (It was funnny that you didn’t even mention the Atlanta Braves though)
About the awesome gifts you’re offering, I think that you’re constantly giving away so much help out and from a period of days until now, that I have started to almost count the days for you to jump already 100% in the Internet Marketing area.
I know there is a constant debate between Bloggers and IMers about choosing one or the other and doing what feels right for each of us and I guess I’m just happy to be a part of your audience and witness your constant work in progress online.
It has been such a joy to watch and feel part of it!
So happy birthday again Pit and congratulations on sharing your age (most women I know would have just lied about it LOL)
Take care!!!
Sergio, thanks so much for such an awesome comment and the wishes.
I don’t think there is a big difference between blogging and IM and the only ones that are stressing it are those bloggers who don’t make any money or those who make a lot with all the affiliate sales but want to look “clean”. All they are doing is IM.
Pit,
That’s an awesome post about you. I love the picture of you in the uniform, so commanding.
I had been to Bosnia once for a conference and stayed for about 15 days. Did a lot of traveling around to see building hit by bullets all over.
Anyways, so comfortable for you to have your B-day and Wedding day so close – you can plan things in an organized way to celebrate two big days
As to the “blue-eyed” prince – I see that you’re boasting about his eyes a lot; makes me very curious (I’m sure I will not be the only one). Why don’t you put a picture of your hubby? Would love to see that hot guy!
Oh I forgot! Happy Birthday Bran, oops Pit!
Cheers,
Jane.
Lol, funny you say that about the uniform, those guys really had trouble taking orders from a girl and pretty much hated it
Jim doesn’t like his pics online much because of the line of work he is in, same like I wasn’t posting mine while I was in the force, but I will see what I can do to at least display the eyes, lol
This was a titanic cornucopia of stuff! All very interesting to read. i think you’ve had a great life and I’m sure it will only get better from here!
So glad we “met” so I’m looking forward to seeing what you do from here on out. Happy Birthday!
Thanks John, you know you are one of my best online friends
Happy Birthday Brankica! You are a Virgo like me.
I didn’t know you don’t like the nickname “Bran,” LOL I started using it sometimes because I think I read it somewhere else, one of of Dino’s comments or something.
I will stop and just use your full name now, haha.
Wow, you really have a talent for learning languages. That’s amazing! You should learn French too! I love Parisian French, but Canadian French sounds AWFUL, LOL!
Sex and the City is my all-time favourite show too. I’ve seen all episodes probably over 30 times and practically know them off by heart.
I’ve been told that 30 is supposed to be one of those really awesome milestone birthdays in life. I hope yours is super fantastic! Have a GREAT birthday!
Hey Elise, thanks so much. In my country kids learn English plus one language. It depends on your school if the plus one is German, French or Russian. I got stuck with Russian.
I do like the “real” Spanish which is probably something you are saying about the differences between Canadian and “real” French.
I am like Carry (SATC). All I can say is “mercy bucoup” (probably not spelled the right way).
Bran,
Happy Birthday!!!
I feel so much more connected with you now. Sounds like you have led quite an interesting life for the past 30 years. I am sort of jealous.
As it happens Gates of Fire is one of my top ten books of all time too. Certainly my favorite historical fiction, which is a topic I like.
Thanks for sharing all of this fun stuff about yourself.
I hope you have wonderful birthday and a great anniversary tomorrow.
Thanks so much Steve
I did everything I wanted to by the age of 30 so now I can sit and relax, lol.
I like historical fiction, but I also like reading almost anything. If you haven’t read it, I really recommend The Pillars of The Earth, I hope you will like it!
Hello Brankica. Happy birthday. It was nice to get to know you a little better. I really appreciate bloggers opening up so his/her readers can get to see who/what is behind the avatar. I also like Dwayne Johnson -especially for his character ‘The Rock’ in the WWE. I’m a HUGE WWE fan. Are you looking forward to his match with Cena next year ta Wrestle mania?
I didn’t know about Dwayne in WWE cause I was in Europe when he was fighting and never saw him. I learned about him through his movies.
Had no clue he will be fighting Cena (which isn’t a bad actor himself) so I am definitely going to check it out. I am more of a UFC fan.
Happy Birthday. Hope you had a great one.
Thanks, Jack, it was great.
I didn’t know you don’t like Bran. LOL!! Pit it is!
Happy Birthday!
Thanks Gini. I don’t even remember who started the nickname but I never liked it (hope I didn’t sound like an A-hole about it)
Aprendiste italiano en 38 dias???
You have to tell me how!
I dont need to lear italian right now but I’d like to learn russian as my wife is russian (but anyway we talk in english).
Happy birthday and congrats on your marriage! Too bad I read this a bit late, I could use some help with my site
I´m turning 29 in 3 weeks and you gave me a good idea for a post. I’m aiming to have a successful blog by the time I’m 30 so that would be my only job xD
cheers!
I was deployed for training with Carabinieri for 38 days and living in Italy was the perfect opportunity to learn the language.
You have enough time to make a really successful blog, I am sure you will do it.
Thanks so much for the wishes
Happy Birthday Pit!
Funny when I think of the GI Jane you come to mind immediately, it must the mindset and the short hair.
Have a great day and ride safely (without your bike licence)
Thanks so much
I love this list! Happy birthday!!!!
Thanks, Ameena
Happy Birthday Brankica! hope you have a good one. A couple of years ago, I did a birthday bash giveaway. Gave away a lot of my private recordings and reports that I hadn’t released yet. Had a blast and made a lot of people happy.
Great to see others are getting into the giving spirit.
have fun on your day, and have a fun anniversary as well
Thanks James, I give away often, any chance I get and I love hearing the feedback from people who like it.
Happy Birthday!!
I ride a bike, too — though, I don’t call it a crotch rocket haha … it’s a naked ninja 650, so it looks more like a ducati than a kawasaki.
Hope you’re birthday and anniversary are both awesome-saucesome.
Thanks, Christopher, I like Ninjas they really did a great job with making it for any type of rider.
Hi Brankica, HAPPY BIRTHDAY again
I like how you love to learn other languages and specially the basic Arabic language you have
enjoy your day!
Thanks, Faissal
Happy 30th Birthday Brankica and great anniversary tomorrow! (best year)
I wish you aaaaalllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll the beeeeeeesssstttt
PS:
shipping date Sept. 19, 2011
You learned English in 38 days, you must tell me how????????????????
PPS:
I buy you a present
The Yahoo – Style Guide haha
all the best to you and HOT Jim from Kruno
Kruno, thanks so much for the present, can’t wait to see it
I learned Italian in 38 days, took me a lot more for English. I think your English is improving a lot and honestly, no matter how stupid this may sound, for me the best way to learn languages is watching movies and reading some basic stuff on news sites in the language I am trying to learn.
Pozdrav B,
Nadam se da si zadovoljna poklonom (bio je na tvojoj listi želja)
Dali je to stiglo, prvi puta sam kupoval preko Amazon-a?
Kruno

Izradiš listu želja i ko želi nešto pokloniti neka izvoli…
ali ih svaki puta provjeravaju 3 tjedna a to me izludi
What a great birthday gift to us, Brankica! Your background, accomplishments and skills are amazing! Congratulations!
Thanks so much, Jayme.
Happy Birthday Brankica,
You’ve had a jam-packed first 30 years and I guess they must have flown by for you! You acquired a lot of knowledge with some exposure that’s why you can have a good conversation and get a wide range of jokes.
So not only are you a sharp shooter, you are a pit bull too! You mentioned your nickname in your recent interview but I didn’t really catch it, now I know. This ensures that no girl will get anywhere near Hot Jim!
I still don’t know the correct pronunciation of your name though. Is it /bran-chee-kah/ ?
Not surpised about most things on your list but you don’t speak Russian? I learnt a few Russian words while working offshore with a Russian crew but it never got past dobrya utro, dobry den, kak dilaa etc.
I could never get my head around the alphabets so I gave up. The 3 languages I speak all use the Latin alphabets.
Yes I really loved the post and your wish list but no camera? You need one to start that photography you know!
Happy Anniversary for tomorrow and please stay away from power bikes!
Hey Flo, thanks so much for the awesome comment.
It is weird that I never got Russian, considering that the alphabet is not a problem (Serbian is also Cyrillic with slight differences) and the languages are from the same family. But after 8 years of studying it, I can’t say more than you
My name is something like Brah-nkee-tsah (I hope I wrote it properly in this phonetic way or what ever they call it). I think in that same interview, I say my name at the beginning, but is is really weird for English speakers.
No camera is going to help me learn this, I need to learn how to do it in theory and then get a camera
Happy Birthday Brankica!!! Sure hope you’ve had a great day and thank you so much for sharing all of these things with us. I had no idea about a lot of them which I knew about a few others.
Sorry I’m so late replying, I’ve been with my Mom all weekend and just recently made it back home! So, I have a good feeling you’ve already gotten those emails.
Hope you’ve had lots of fun today and enjoy your 30′s. They’ll be gone before you know it!
Lol, on my 16th Bday, I told my dad that I can’t wait to be 18 (legal age in my country) and he said “You will get to 18 and all after that will fly by”. He was so right. So I am sure you are sure about the “after 30″ part
I hope you had great time with your mom, I haven’t seen my mom almost 11 months, this Earth should definitely be smaller, lol
Thanks for the Bday wishes
I remember that myself. I couldn’t wait to be a “legal age” which back then was 21. I had a long way to go but before I knew it, it had come and gone. Just like I’m sure you feel that time is just flying by. What I would give to be 30 again. Oh well!
I had a great time with my Mom! Took her to her 69th high school reunion and she had such a fun time. It’s cute watching all of them chat it up like old home week. Not too many of them left now.
Enjoy your week!
Happy birthday Brankica
or, in my language, I’ll say “Chúc mừng sinh nhật”
I hope you can learn Vietnamese and visit Vietnam, I’ll take you around and give you a real cake ^^
If I ever come close to Vietnam, you can count on it. Thanks so much!
Many many happy returns of the day!!!!!!!
So there will be party tonight thanks for share all Info about you and all 30 points are very great tips to live a perfect life.
Point #9 is so great from my point of view because i am also very passionate about sports bike which is make a true identity of genuine boys when we drive these kind of bikes on road specially in presence of lots of girls.
Thank you so much
Wow. You rocked this post, but I find it odd that you didn’t list Greek as a language? I took Greek and Hebrew in seminary, but it was Koine Greek – and which Latin? Attic prose or what?
I can’t recall which I studied…but as far as linguistics go, you’ve got me beat. Definitely a European thing – most Americans know 3 or fewer languages, if that.
Loved the post, happy birthday, Pit!
I never learned Greek, I only speak a few words of it. But I was never in seminary
and Greek is not too common for us to learn (although the whole country goes to Greece for vacation every summer).
Not sure about Latin, cause I am not sure how it is called in English, but it was the whole language, sentences, dictionary, etc.
loved it. I am going to call you Pit from now one. such a bad a$$ name!
Lol, thanks Sunil!
Happy belated Pit!
I wish I could respond to this like you responded to my birthday post. But unfortunately I’m not badass enough to go one by one down this list. I will say that I love Nutella though
. And Jeff Dunham definitely had a stroke of genius with Peanut.
PS Awesome of people to use “Bran” in the comment section of a post where you explicitly state that you don’t like it
.
Thanks, Eugene, and I know, so weird about the nick thing
I had no idea you were speed reader! I gotta acquire this skill, but I thought impossible, because I didn’t knew anyone who knew it!
I will catch you online sometimes to pick your brains for it!
I got the book in Belgrade
Happy Birthday (belated). Sorry, I am late, but as they say, better late than never, right. Wow, reading through some stuff about you is awesome. I love bikes too and I actually have a CBR900RR Fireblade. Love the sound it makes
(changed the muffler, lol). Anway, and unless I missed it, I thought you knew Portuguese too? It is Latin based so I guess that’s included
I understand some, but not enough to include it in the list
I told you I can repeat the whole “Tropa de Elite” if that can be counted as knowing the language, lol.
Thanks so much for the wishes and I bet that bikes sounds more than awesome!
Happy Birthday to you, you, you, you, young sprite. 30! Old! I reserve the right to remind you of this post when you hit 40! That hurts, stings! Seriously have a wonderful day. (Make it a week long celebration, it’s a big one!)
Dawn xx
PS: Have you managed to watch Pillars of the Earth?
I know… 30 is nothing to what waits for me but I just felt like that cause it is a round number. Decades and decades behind me, lol
I haven’t seen the series, but I plan to!
Thanks so much
Belated Happy Birthday Brankica! I hope it was a good one!
I love Pillars of the Earth as well – have you seen the mini-series of it? It was so well done – just as I pictured it as I read! Try this link to watch it online if you missed it: http://www.sidereel.com/The_Pillars_of_the_Earth
Lori
I haven’t seen it cause I hate seeing movies made by the book cause they are never even close to the book. But if you say it is how you imagined it, then I am definitely going to watch it!
I’m with you on that – usually disappointed! This was why I was so delighted with how they handled this book! Enjoy!
Lori
Happy Birthday!! Funny, I love the way Dwayne Johnson looks, too, ha!! I can’t for the life of me figure out how you can manage to fit 11 tattoos on your little body. But if you want to be in good company, come to Tucson. They hand out “buy one get one free” coupons for tattoos when babies are born (just kidding, but seriously everyone in Tucson has at least three or four tattoos).
I didn’t do one of these “things you don’t know about me” posts but now I am considering it. They are so much fun to read.
So glad you like it. I would love that tattoo coupon, lol. I had the luck to become a great friend with the people that do my tattoos so they stopped charging me, since I was such a great showcase of their work and kept bringing hew customers to them
Actually, you would be surprised but if I wear a shorts and a shirt you can’t see most of them. They fit and there is more space, lol
And just so you know, Dwayne is mine, you better find another one RLMAO
Happy Birthday Brankica. I really enjoy movies with Dwayne Johnson as well (but I’m not talking about his looks though)
I knew about your 11 tattoos, but wow, now I know a lot more (and I’m very impressed when it comes to how many languages you speak).
I hope you had a wonderful day and that you got some fantastic gifts.
Jens
Thanks so much Jens, being away from home will delay gifts but I got the one from my hubby and guess what – it was an iPad and it is exactly what I wanted. So I will be checking you app posts more often
Wow, your man is awesome! I want an iPad too
Happy Birthday!!!
Здоровья, тебе. С ним и тем, что у тебя уже есть, ты всего добьёшься!
You are such an amazing and talented person. Happy Birthday and enjoy some cake for me. I love the post since it is so fun to learn about you. Thanks. I may try this on my birthday except I haven’t done as many amazing things as you have. Sally
Thanks so much, Sally. I would love to read about you, it isn’t about amazing things, it is just about sharing some stuff you like. I am sure I won’t have anything interesting to list in the next 10 years
Happy Birth Day Bankica!
Wow, if I had to disclose my secrets by the number of years I would be completely exposed or with nothing to hide… in few months… November 14. Ok ok I’m not so old.. Means it’s in the heart.
I wanted to say that we here (Hispanic world) have to abide—more or less—by the ‘DICCIONARIO DE LA REAL ACADEMIA ESPAÑOLA’ (or something like that). So you and others can trust me for fidelity when comes to Spanish Language.
I identified with you in most of ‘your secrets’. ‘But because this is for your Birthday’ I wonder about a few others you disclosed, like that flash reading—with meaning—you said. Maybe you’ll make a superb post—like the other you do—about it then.
It’s a must skill, at least for commenting in blogs or crafting post-cakes (of course that isn’t one or your secrets. It’s overly). Sure, this’ll be tasted slowly.
—Mark
Thanks so much Mark. I actually learned those reading tricks from a book, and I will try to find it in English to tell you all about it. After learning the first few tricks it only takes practice.
Happy Birthday, my fellow Virgo! I love your list!! 30 special things about YOU! You are my go-to girl if I’m ever in need of protection or assistance! I also love meat, esp pork, and I have been accused of eating way more than the folks around me and not having anything to show for it (except when I was pregnant!). I love a HAKA, too! Really.
I don’t think I’ll share 41 things with you about me at this point, but suffice it to say, I’m very happy to know you and wish you nothing but continued greatness in your life! Happy Anniversary also!!
Erica
We are so similar. People in USA often look at me all weird when I say how much I love pork, seems everyone is in this “no meat” and organic food movement. I just enjoy eating.
Thanks so much for the great wishes.
Happy birthday!!!!!! OMG Brankica I love Dwayne Johnson he is very easy on the eyes….. You are way cool my friend! You have inspired me to get off the couch and maybe just maybe do a push up….
Lol, that is better than nothing. There is a movie, think it is called “Why did I marry you too” by Tyler Perry, Dwayne is only in like last 5 seconds of it, but he is looking sharp, you have to see it
Congrats and Happy Birthday, your 30 things about yourself really shed a light into your personality. You have a lot of experience and a vast array of interests and talents, I always highly respect people who are multilingual and it is something I have been meaning to pick up at some point.
Thanks so much, Justin. I think this list did show me in maybe different light than some thought of me
I know so little about my blogging peers other than maybe 4-5 of them, that I find it interesting when I read more about the “person” behind the blog or blogger. It builds a stronger connection and loyalty with readers if they think they “know” you or more about you, by knowing somebody you tend to develop more “care” instead of being a faceless or identity less author.
That is exactly how I feel about it, too. That is also the goal I had for the post, to give people a bit more of real me.
Brankica, I’m late to your Birthday party, but I was early on your FB…does that count?:)
I think I called you Bran a few times, then stopped, because I wasn’t sure if you did indeed like being called that. Saw that Gini girl call you that, so figured it had to be on the up and up. I now know better:)
#7…great number! Haka…awesome! Jeff Dunham and Peanut…my 26 year old son introduced me to them, and I am a HUGE fan!
And if you ever want to learn a few words in Finnish, I’m your woman. Cheers, and belated happy birthday here:) Cheers! Kaarina
Sorry for the late reply and yes, everything counts, you are not late
Don’t miss Jeff tomorrow (Sept 25th) and 9 PM EST on Comedy Central, he has a new show
Happy (belated) birthday! Mine is the day after yours–your anniversary. Except I turned the ripe old age of 34 this year. Boo:( Sorry I’m late for your party but I was on a work-free vacation–and I needed it! I loved, loved, loved your list! I really enjoy knowing more about bloggers that I respect and admire. Now that I’ve been doing this whole blogging thing for a little while, I have to say that you are one of the first people I decided to follow. I never regret that decision as I’ve learned so much from you:)
Thank you so much and happy B day to you too. Sorry for being so late, I took those days off and has so much to do offline. Hope you had a great time!
Happy Birthday Brankica, I love this post. A personal look into our blogging friends is always a treat. We have something in common that’s a little unusual for most; I was part of a United Nations peace keeping force too. A year in Egypt and Israel as part of the Multi-National Force and Observers. A little before your time back in 1985/86 but it was a fantastic experience. Sometimes the toughest and most demanding times of our lives are the most rewarding.
I’m late to this “party” but I can still say Happy belated birthday to you.
Now I know you better + 30 interesting things about you, Pit (no more Bran:). Those are amazing accomplishments too.
BTW, you look pretty in that uniform.
Happy birthday, keep rocking
Zdravo, Brankica!
You know, I am sitting in front of the computer, researching the net for some relationship marketing and direct response marketing articles and believe me, I found tons of useful information. I check it fast, the best links I share on twitter, Facebook and G+. And there you go, I’m landing on your website. I think I forgot the time I already spent here, but it is so interesting that I have to give you this feedback. We can find lots of resources online on many reliable websites about things we really want to know because of our work or personal interest. Today, we can learn how to do this or that, just by digging and reading online. But most of the time it is never touching. It is useful, but clean and unpersonal. And I like to get messy and open up. You made it in an excellent way with your blog. Digging around here, it’s like meeting you in person. If I reflect back to my emotional state – I already TRUST you. Doing business for me is mostly a meeting between two or many people. It is not impersonal, goal oriented, marketing or design blah-blah. For me, it is a very personal possibility for an exchange. We, as individuals, are not separated in our own life – from 9 to 5 we are businessmen and from 6 to 9 we are friends and so on. Now, we are who we are all the time and this is the biggest power of todays open communication. Related to this I think the freelance way of working is an excellent opportunity for everyone – people looking for a certain service and people providing this certain service. You will not marry everyone, but the one where you feel the enriching exchange flow and the win-win-win that comes from it for all. I think the business should reflect us, otherwise we will never have as much fun as we could possibly have.
Thanks for the shares!
