I love accepting great guest posts from my readers but knowing some people we have to deal with, I know I have to have some rules written down.
Rules for guest posting on Online Income Star blog
1. I want original posts written by you. I will be checking if they are original. No copyrighted material! If you are attaching an image, make sure you have the right to do it, or send me a note saying where is the image from.
2. If you posted it (or post it later) on another blog, even your own, I will remove your links and your bio 
and you won’t be able to submit another guest post here.
3. The post length should be between 500 and 1.500 words. If there is a point to having a longer post, I will accept it.
4. Posts written around general topics that can be found anywhere on the internet will not be published. Be specific. Tell us how you are using the tips you are writing about, how did they work for you.
5. The post must be written in good English.
6. I reserve the right to edit the post (grammar, misspellings, formatting). If there are major changes to the post, I will inform you before I publish it.
7. Submitting an article does not guarantee that I will publish it but I will get back with you and tell you where the problem is.
8. The topics you can write the post about are:
- basic blogging tips
- web design
- SEO
- traffic generation
- social media and networking
- making money online and affiliate marketing
- tutorials related to helping bloggers
- Firefox add-ons for bloggers
- and anything you think might fit this blog
9. I won’t publish posts that are filled with links. No links in the post itself unless it is highly relevant for the post. No affiliate links.
10. You must reply to comments. If you neglect the visitors that took the time to comment not only I will never post another of your posts but you will be perceived as a bad networker and nobody likes those!
Oh, yes, and I will remove your links from the post!
11. You have to put some effort into promoting your post. If you don’t retweet it or share it anywhere, you don’t make any effort to promote it, I will most likely remove the post or your links. I want all of us to put our best efforts forward!
12. What do you get in return? You will get more exposure and meet some great people that come often to read this blog.
Also, you will get a do-follow link back to your blog/website and a link to a social profile of your choice (Twitter, Facebook, Facebook fan page, StumbleUpon profile, Digg profile, or what ever social site you are using).
I will also do my best to promote your post to my network of followers!
However, make sure your main link leads to a good blog, I will not be linking to spammy blogs, link farms and all other bad neighborhood places.
