I am talking about Clicky web analytics.
This tool will let you track what your visitors are doing on your blog in real time, so you can see exactly which links are bringing them to your blog, which links are taking them away, if they are visiting the pages you set as goals (i.e. sales pages), etc.
The tool is amazing and a great one to combine with Google Analytics for a complete overview of your visitors and their actions on your blog.
But I am not going to give you the complete tool characteristics in this post. There is something else I want to share with you.

Now that you have an account with Clicky, if you have more than one blog (Clicky is free for one blog), you will definitely want to upgrade your account to be able to track the other sites you run. Yes, Clicky IS that addictive.
You can simply choose which plan you want, cash it out and use the tool. That is how I started with it.
But a great way to get the pro version of the tool is just to make money by being an affiliate for it (wish I figured this out sooner).
This is where I get to the main point of the post. Clicky is one of the highest converting affiliate programs I have ever tried.
Why is that?
Most of my readers have blogs and websites and they learned how important tracking is.
Also, I have an image ad in my sidebar with the headline saying “try for free”. It it the best converting image ad I have. If I reworded the headline, I think it would convert even better. But FREE always gets people’s attention.
How to make money with Clicky?
It is like any other affiliate program you join. As soon as you register for the service, you will get a referral link and you can start sharing it with your readers.
There is one good thing that some other programs don’t allow and that is being an affiliate for a tool you are using for free (for example you must be a Market Samurai user to become an affiliate for it).
So you can register for free and start promoting it. Any time someone upgrades their account you will get a piece of the cake. With yearly price for 3 blogs of only $29.99 you will probably end up having a lot of people actually getting the premium version.
This is one of those tools you never have to invest anything in. You join for free, get a few people to sign up, they buy premium version of the tool and all the money you earn goes into your premium plan. Note that you can’t get the cash until you buy your first premium package.
Why am I telling you about another affiliate program?
Because this one converts like crazy on blogs like mine. If your audience is in any way connected to building websites, blogging or social media (you can track Facebook pages for example), you will want to get in on this one.
This is a program that will get you a premium plan very quickly.

I did it and it was the easiest $5 ever. I actually forgot about this offer for months and months and just ran into it again recently. It was after my post about Clicky.
To get $5, you need to write a review of the tool and send them the link to the post. If the post fits their rules, they put $5 on your account. As easy as that.
So I sent them a link to my Clicky review post and the money was added to my account.
What is the catch?
I bet you are wondering why am I sharing this with you, since I said that this is my best converting affiliate program. Well, if you decide you want to give Clicky a try, I am just hoping you will do it through my blog.
That doesn’t make a difference for you since signing up through my links or directly won’t change the price you pay for the service. But it will make a difference for me to have another person signed up.
Another reason is that my original plan for this blog was to help people by telling them what works for me. Here is one of those things. This is a high converting program and I would love for you to make something out of it.
There is one more reason why I am reminding you of this service - you need to track your efforts. You need to know what people are doing on your blog, see what is broken and measure what works so you can make it even better.
If you see people leaving one of your pages using the same link all the time, while at the same time you need them to read the whole page – remove the link. Clicky Analytics is the tool that will measure all this for you.

Never tried Clicky before, despite hearing about the tool here and there. Despite that, you have definitely just convinced me to give it a test run. I think you will upgrade pretty soon, it is awesome for niche sites to see exactly what people are doing on your sales pages, what are they clicking, etc. Can’t wait for your verdict after a few weeks!

I am actually having a bit of fun looking at “unique” keywords that drive traffic to my site. They can even be used for blog post ideas. Hmmm, you are right, a bit more of testing and I would certainly like to see the same data on my other sites, in particular, the niche ones

Doh! I wish you had published this about 3 days ago. I just got clicky (I have previously been pretty happy with Google Analytics but finally decided to try clicky for all the extras. )
Anyway the upshot is I just got the account a few days ago. I would have bought under your referral if I had thought about it.
Oh well….
I haven’t used it long enough to give my own glowing review. But it does seem nice so far. (and I am a BIG analytics lover)
I bet you will love it. I like that it is simpler to use than GA. It doesn’t have all the more complex settings but that is the beauty, it is a perfect tool to use WITH Google Analytics. My favorite (and about the only thing I really use) is Spy tool.
Bran, I just got the Clicky Pro version and I’m blown away. It’s awesome!!!!!!!!!!!! Love the tracking capabilities. Really a must for any blogger trying to grow and learn about their audience. Heck, I was even thinking about doing a post and now you’ve beat me to it!
